Ventajas que brindan las prótesis implantosoportadas al paciente, para mejorar su estética y funcionalidad

Resumen
El principal problema que ha surgido en pacientes edéntulos es poder encontrar solución a los malestares causados por la ausencia de piezas dentarias. Mediante el uso de prótesis dentomucosoportadas se ha logrado cumplir con ciertas expectativas que el paciente tenía, pero su uso no ha sido suficiente ya que presentaban algunos inconvenientes en cuanto a su estética y funcionalidad, manifestando una baja autoestima e inseguridad al momento de llevar su vida diaria e incluso al relacionarse con personas de su entorno. Objetivo: Resaltar las ventajas que brindan las prótesis implantosoportadas al paciente, para mejorar su estética y funcionalidad. Método: estudio de tipo bibliográfico y descriptivo de diferentes artículos científicos con casos clínicos en los cuales se logró obtener el éxito en cuanto a mejorías en estética, funcionalidad y confort para el paciente, luego de realizar diagnósticos correctos que indicaron el uso de implantes dentales como medio rehabilitador. Conclusiones: el uso de prótesis implantosoportadas representa un pilar importante como técnica alternativa de rehabilitación protésica ya que es un tratamiento a largo plazo y satisface las necesidades que los pacientes requieren, permitiéndoles solucionar aquellos problemas que presentan las prótesis dentomucosoportadas; en cuanto a la retención, soporte y estabilidad; otorgando un mejor confort, evitando así el uso de ganchos o retenedores que afectan la estética, equilibrando y distribuyendo las fuerzas masticatorias, dando una mayor estabilidad y mejor soporte al momento de realizar sus diferentes funciones orales; devolviéndoles la confianza y seguridad en sí mismos para así reintegrarse por completo en la sociedad.

The main problem that has arisen in edentulous patients is to find solution to the discomfort caused by the absence of teeth. Using dentomucosoportadas prosthesis has managed to meet certain expectations that the patient had, but its use has not been sufficient as had some drawbacks in terms of aesthetics and functionality, expressing low self-esteem and insecurity when carrying your life daily and even interact with people around them. Objective: To highlight the advantages offered by the patient implant prostheses to improve their aesthetics and functionality. Method: study of bibliographic and descriptive different scientific articles clinical cases in which it was possible to achieve success in terms of improvements in aesthetics, functionality and comfort for the patient, after making proper diagnosis, indicated the use of dental implants as Middle rehabilitation. Conclusions: The use of prosthetic implant represents an important pillar as an alternative prosthetic rehabilitation technique as it is a long-term treatment and meets the needs that patients require, enabling them to solve those problems presented by dentomucosoportadas prosthesis; in terms of retention, support and stability; giving greater comfort, avoiding the use of hooks or retainers that affect aesthetics, balancing and distributing the masticatory forces, giving greater stability and better support when making their different oral functions; restoring their confidence and self-confidence in order to fully reintegrate into society.
