One of the main problems encountered during orthodontic treatment is the loosening of brackets where several factors such as the quality of the tooth surface, the adhesive of choice and bracket Mesh involved; each is part of the success or failure in treatment. the effectiveness of adhesion between the Orthocem and Heliosit Orthodontic cementation of resin brackets and metal pipes during treatment will be determined. The study was comparative, for each of the resins take a sample of 15 patients where we obtained significant data when studying the three factors mentioned above, it was shown that Heliosit had a force of perfect adhesion both to withstand masticatory forces and manipulation during orthodontic treatment and also caused no damage to the tooth enamel after removing the appliance; besides few brackets unattached were obtained; unlike the Orthocem resin wherein the viscosity of the resin could spill into the grooves of low relief of the mesh and greater adherence we had it on the enamel surface this being a force greater than the limit value it is needed to attach the brackets which it is between 8 to 10 MPa, which caused a negative effect on the debonding damage tooth structure and introducing greater numbers of brackets unattached. Thus it was concluded that the resin Heliosit had better adhesion properties in the Orthocem resin. Keywords: Adhesion, bracket base, tooth surface, adherent substrate.
