In the oral cavity can cause a variety of diseases of different etiologies, so it is very important that the health professional to identify and know the consequences it causes, this type of pathology, dentoalveolar abscess is a complication of tooth decay, also can occur when a tooth is broken or chipped when there are openings in the tooth enamel allow bacteria to infect the pulp of teeth if not prevented or treated early, severe infections occur, the objective of this study was will make the treatment of dentoalveolar abscess development in the piece evolving in an upper canine, a 37 year old patient who came to the office complaining of pain in the piece # 13 attended, states that "pain is more than one minutes no can sleep upside down ", radiographically an abscess of 6.6 mm was found after endodontic treatment proceeded to seal the piece and restore the tooth, as a result the patient presented a great improvement in pain, periodic visits are recommended to assess the evoluvion, it is concluded that acute alveolar abscess is a periapical septic process, with increased volume does not exceed the anatomical region of the affected tooth, which leads to bacterial multiplication, tissue degeneration and the formation of pus that collects below mucosal or skin. It originates from infection caries, traumatic injuries, drugs used in root canal therapy and the presence of granulomas infections or cysts. We must complement the treatment of dentoalveolar abscess with drugs to attack the infectious process
