Resumen
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo el “Diseño de modelo de gestión por procesos para el control de inventarios” en la empresa EMDIQUIN Cía. Ltda., la cual se dedica a la fabricación de diluyentes y químicos industriales. Esta entidad maneja niveles de rentabilidad estables, sin embargo, ha presentado problemas vinculados al correcto control del inventario, pues existen indicadores que determinan ineficiencia en el almacenamiento, despacho y rotación de la mercadería, materia prima e insumos. El control de inventario de la empresa es uno de los factores del área operativa que más
influye en la rentabilidad, pues si existen altos niveles de costos vinculados a la adquisición de materiales y no son aprovechados en su totalidad puede generar que disminuyan las utilidades y pierda competitividad. Los problemas de control de inventario, afectan la parte externa existiendo retrasos en entregas de productos a clientes. Mediante un estudio de campo obtenido por medio de entrevistas y encuestas realizadas a trabajadores vinculados al área de inventarios de la empresa EMDIQUIN Cía. Ltda., se pudo evidenciar que, según su perspectiva, existen múltiples falencias en el sistema actual de control de inventario al momento de cotejar el inventario físico con el inventario digital de la compañía. La propuesta de esta investigación consiste en el diseño de políticas y procesos para el control de inventarios, como la delegación de funciones a los miembros de los departamentos relacionados con el mismo, con el fin de desarrollar actividades que mejoren la rotación de inventario y la entrega de mercadería.
The present research has the goal of the "Design of a management model by processes for the control of inventories" in the company EMDIQUIN Cía. Ltda., which is dedicated to the manufacture of diluents and industrial chemicals. This entity manages stable levels of profitability; however, it has presented problems related to the correct control of the inventory, since there are indicators that determine inefficiency in the storage, dispatch and rotation of the merchandise, raw material and inputs. The control of inventory of the company is one of the factors of the operating area that has the most influence in the profitability, because if there are high levels of costs linked to the acquisition of materials and are not used in its entirety, that can generate that the profits go down and lose competitiveness. Inventory control problems affect the outside, with delays in product deliveries to customers. Through a field study obtained through interviews and surveys conducted to workers linked to the inventory area of the company EMDIQUIN Cía. Ltda., it showed that, according to their perspective, there are multiple shortcomings in the current system of inventory control at the time of collating the physical inventory with the company's digital inventory. The proposal of this research consists of the design of policies and processes for the control of inventories, such as the delegation of functions to the members of the departments related with the same, in order to develop activities that improve the rotation of inventory and delivery of merchandise.
