El objetivo del presente trabajo determina las bases teóricas y aplicaciones clínicas en adaptación de postes de fibra de vidrio en dientes anterosuperiores que requieren coronas de porcelana en la facultad de odontología periodo 2014-2015.Comúnmente, se presentan en la consulta odontológica, pacientes que han perdido gran parte de su dentadura por diversas razones. Dichos pacientes se han visto afectados por la falta de estética y función de sus dientes. La mayor preocupación del paciente es si su problema tiene solución por cuanto dicho diente ya fue endodonciado y ha sufrido fractura de corona. Vale resaltar que existe solución a ello, Hay diferentes tipos de postes para reconstruir dientes endodonciado entre ellos los de fibra de vidrio. En función a los tejidos coronales remanentes los postes están indicados en: Dientes anteriores, cuando faltan las dos paredes proximales o una de ellas. En dientes con la corona clínica destruida en más del 50%. Aquellos dientes endodonciados que presentan varias obturaciones. Dientes endodonciados que presentan pérdida de soporte periodontal. Dientes endodónticos que serán pilar de puentes. Dientes endodonciados que soporte el retenedor de una prótesis parcial removible. En dientes posteriores, cuando faltan dos o más paredes adyacentes. Consideramos que la restauración con poste de fibra de vidrio en dientes tratados endodóncicamente es un tema indudable importancia en el campo de la endodoncia y la odontología restauradora y debe ser estudiado integralmente, a nivel morfológico, como a nivel clínico, y radiográfico. El presente trabajo se basó en un estudio bibliográfico, descriptivo y explicativo, además se aplican las fases del proceso metodológico, lo cual nos permitió: analizar y sintetizar la información expuesta.
