Resumen
El presente estudio de factibilidad está encaminado a la creación de un centro de cuidado diurno para adultos mayores en la ciudad de Guayaquil, el cual permitió obtener información valiosa para la toma de decisiones y puesta en marcha del proyecto.
Para tal estudio fue necesario llevar a cabo técnicas y procedimientos de investigación que ayudaron a comprobar la necesidad existente en el adulto mayor de acceder a un servicio que le permita promover y desarrollar sus facultades físicas y mentales. Mediante encuestas y entrevistas se logró determinar el gran nivel de demanda de adultos mayores interesados en la propuesta planteada y la poca oferta de centros gerontológicos que hay en la actualidad.
Además se realizó un análisis de los posibles recursos materiales, humanos y económicos que fueren indispensables para la ejecución del proyecto, y determinación de los lineamientos y estándares organizacionales que contribuyan a la realización de los procedimientos de admisión, integración y cuidado del adulto mayor.
Finalmente mediante un estudio y análisis financiero se logró determinar la viabilidad, factibilidad y rentabilidad de crear el centro de cuidado diurno para adultos mayores en la ciudad de Guayaquil, por cuanto los resultados obtenidos con el Valor Actual Neto (VAN), Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR), Tasa Mínima Atractiva de Rendimiento (TMAR) y el Punto de Equilibrio alcanzaron niveles óptimos; siendo el tiempo de recuperación de la inversión a partir del tercer año.
This feasibility study is aimed at creating a day care center for the older adults in the city of Guayaquil, which provided valuable information for decision-making and implementation of the project. For this study it was necessary to carry out research techniques and procedures that helped to verify the need in the older adult to access a service that allows them to promote and develop their physical and mental faculties. Through surveys and interviews it was determined the high level of demand for older adults interested in the proposal and raised the low supply of gerontology centers there today. In addition, it was performed an analysis of possible material, human and financial resources that may be essential for the implementation of the project, and determining the guidelines and organizational standards that contribute to the implementation of admission procedures, integration and care of the elderly. Finally, through a study and financial analysis, it was possible to determine the viability, feasibility and profitability of creating the day care center for older adults in the city of Guayaquil, as the results obtained with the Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRT), Minimum Attractive Rate of Return (MARR) and the Balance Point reached optimum levels, with the time of payback from the third year.
