This research was to conduct a comparative analysis on the use of fixed and removable palatal trap to eliminate habit of thumb sucking in patients with anterior open bite. The research that was conducted was descriptive and documentary that gave veracity to it. The research problem was to conclude how much is the decline in millimeters of the anterior open bite caused by habit of finger sucking thumb with various treatment methods used in two cases in patients aged 8 and 9 years of age Sniffers are digital, so that the work will provide guidance to readers was carried out step by step development of the restrictor devices. The objectives were established as follows: determined to be a mouth habit, causes and consequences. The habit of finger sucking as the main cause of anterior open bite was identified. The clinical characteristics of dental anterior open bite and skeletal anterior open bite was established. The retaining means and activation of removable and fixed orthodontic appliances were established and the development of the two restrictor devices developed to adapt the devices in both patients. Finally measures decrease in anterior open bite with apparatus adapted and settled assets mouth. The results were flattering in both cases, however it emphasizes the palate fixed trap fell 5.5 millimeters in four weeks while the palatal appliance with removable trap down 2 millimeters for the same period, the research concludes that the fixed restrictor device is effective in decrease in anterior open bite in time factor.
