Resumen
El turismo se ha convertido en una actividad de gran desarrollo económico a nivel
mundial, según la OMT (2017), las llegadas de turistas internacionales aumento
un 3,9% en lo que va del 2017, hasta situarse en los 1.235 millones, un
promedios de 46 millones de turistas que pernoctan durante el mismo periodo
del 2016 lo que significa un buen porcentaje para la industria turística mundial.
El turismo de sol y playa en Ecuador tiene gran demanda en la zona costera
gracias a sus hermosas y encantadoras playas que son preferidas por turistas
nacionales y extranjeros. El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación se
basó en elaborar un plan de promoción turística para la comuna de Manglaralto,
en la cual se aplicó metodologías como investigación de campo, entrevistas,
encuestas, trabajos y fuentes bibliográficas que respalden la investigación
realizada para conocer el perfil del turista. Con los componentes del trabajo
realizado se elaboró un plan de promoción turística, que incluye proyectos que
servirán como instrumentos para dar a conocer y posicionar al sector dentro del
mercado turístico como uno de los destinos turísticos principales del país.
