Resumen
Los estudios de mercado son la fuente que asegura la inversión de todo
emprendimiento, en este caso se estudia la oferta y la demanda para el diseño de
un restaurante en la ciudad de Babahoyo, sin despreocuparse del turismo y el
ornato de la cuidad. Utilizando algunos métodos como observación, documental,
entrevistas, encuestas, al revisar la trayectoria de los hechos o sucesos que
involucran la creación de restaurantes en la ciudad de Babahoyo, de igual forma se
ocupó de investigar las leyes generales del funcionamiento y desarrollo de los
restaurantes, se pretendió llegar a la verdad de las cosas, así mismo se guarda
relación con el estudio de factibilidad para el diseño de un restaurante en la ciudad
de Babahoyo además utilizara la parte documental de la recopilación de la
información científica proveniente de libros, revistas y artículos científicos, con el de
campo se recopiló la información en el lugar donde se realiza la investigación. La
población considerada en la presente investigación es el total de la ciudad de
Babahoyo, la misma que de acuerdo al último censo nacional del 2010, se proyecta
a 153.800 habitantes y de acuerdo a los resultados de la fórmula aplicada a la
población se tiene una muestra de 382 involucrados desde los 20 a 65 años de
edad. Como resultado de las encuestas se obtuvo que un alto porcentaje de los que
visitan la ciudad necesitan los servicios de alimentación de manera variada y con
alternativas que satisfagan todas sus expectativas, por lo cual se necesita un
incremento en cuanto al número de establecimientos y de los servicios que ellos
ofertan así como, de trabajar en armonía con el entorno para hacer de los lugares
turísticos más atractivos
