At the present, there are different alterations in the teeth, specifically in the enamel, which are often treated without knowing their etiology. The alteration of tooth enamel in patients might be caused by many different factors, and they can be genetic or environmental. In this report, the case of a four-year patient that has alterations in her upper- front deciduous teeth is described. There is an exposure of dentin and tooth enamel is not observed in the crown of the pieces. When performing clinical examination, an enamel hypoplasia type six, comprising a hypoplastic defect in which the enamel is totally absent, was diagnosed. It can be concluded that it is a case of dental hypoplasia, which is a defect of tooth enamel that occurs with higher incidence in infants, because the ameloblasts have not fulfilled their role as enamel-forming cells. Today, and thanks to the Pediatric Dentistry, we have the tools to identify and explain this structural defect present in her oral cavity, giving her family the necessary recommendations for the solution to their problem by offering an aesthetic treatment.
