Resumen
Estudio descriptivo, sobre la odontológica brindada a las madres gestantes del
área de consulta externa de la Maternidad Enrique Sotomayor de la ciudad de
Guayaquil, fue llevado a cabo de Enero a Marzo del 2016 ;cuyo universo estuvo
constituido por 150 madres gestantes de edades entre 25-39 años que cruzaban
la etapas de gestación, estos datos fueron obtenidos de la revisión de historia
clínica y encuestas realizadas a las interesada, estableciendo la prevalencia del
edentulismo después del embarazo en un 98% de las gestantes, las mismas que
presentaron cambios dentarios después de este anotados en un 97% del total de
las gestantes. En la creación de resultados se evidencio que la causa del
edentulismo está dada por la escasa importancia de las gestantes hacia las
visitas odontológicas con un 54%, y un 22% que si realizan el chequeo
correspondiente, estas causas están relacionadas a los mitos generados durante
del embarazo y que las madres creen son ciertos en el 75% de los casos,
aumentando el desarrollo de alteraciones gingivales en un 79%, y de otras
enfermedades destructivas a lo largo del fase de gestación como son la caries,
alteración del ph salivar en un 36%, debido a escaso conocimiento en la
importancia del cuidado bucodental en las mujeres que acudieron al área de
consulta externa de la Maternidad Enrique Sotomayor.
Descriptive study, on the odontologic one offered to the mothers gestantes of the area of external consultation of the Maternity Enrique Sotomayor of the city of Guayaquil, was carried out from January to March, 2016; whose universe was constituted by 150 mothers gestantes of ages between 25-39 years that were crossing the etapas of gestation, this information was obtained of the review of clinical history and surveys realized to them interested, establishing the prevalencia of the edentulismo after the pregnancy in 98 % of the gestantes, the same ones who presented changes toothworts after this one annotated in 97 % of the total of the analyzed gestantes. In the creation of results I demonstrate that the reason of the edentulismo is met by the scanty importance of the gestantes towards the odontologic visits by 54 %, and 22 % that if they realize the corresponding checkup, These reasons are related to the myths generated during of the pregnancy and that the mothers believe are true in 75 % of the cases, increasing the development of alterations gingivales in 79 %, and of other destructive diseases along the period of gestation since, they are The caries, alteration of the ph to salivate in 36 %, due to the mistake of knowledge in the importance of the oral care in the women who came to the area of external consultation of the Maternity Enrique Sotomayor.
