Treatment for Tuberculosis involves the use of multiple medications in which many patients experience some degree of difficulty in tolerating them. However, it is not possible to predict the reaction of each patient and should not be dispensed with the use of drugs for fear of a reaction. The presence of adverse effects in these treatment regimens and the interactions with other drugs is frequent, but with an adequate management of these and the application of a Pharmacovigilance method can be detected in time. Adverse event monitoring has been shown to decrease its incidence and severity, which translates into individual patient care. The objective of the present study was to determine the frequent adverse drug reactions in patients with tuberculosis, a retrospective, descriptive and documentary study was carried out through the medical records of patients diagnosed with sensitive tuberculosis and drug resistant in District 09D17 located in the canton Milagro province of Guayas in the periods 2014-2015, where 155 patients' clinical histories were analyzed based on inclusion and exclusion criteria; Of which 29.68% (46) had adverse reactions (ADR), the most frequent were related to gastrointestinal problems (56.54%). The ADRs were classified according to their imputability, with 20 being probable, 16 defined, 5 doubtful and 5 possible. It was determined that 83.01% were classified as mild, 14.74% moderate, 2.24% severe. Therefore, it is important to apply the pharmacovigilance method proposed with the application of the notifications in the yellow card, this will help that the adverse reactions are detected and identified in time, can be avoided or treated appropriately, for this is Necessary to reinforce and encourage the interest of the staff responsible for patient care.
