Resumen
Este proyecto de tesis, evidencia el estudio de la implementación de la Televisión Digital Terrestre - TDT en el Ecuador, y del denominado “apagón analógico”, esto es el cese de emisión de señal analógica para la transmisión de televisión en Ecuador; en otras palabras el apagón analógico define el tiempo en el cual debe ejecutarse la transición sin retorno del sistema de transmisión analógico al sistema digital. En nuestro país se llevará a cabo de manera progresiva, iniciando el 31 de diciembre de 2016 y finalizando el 31 de diciembre del 2018. Su implementación se divide en tres fases: empezando por las localidades con mayor volumen de habitantes, ciudades como Guayaquil, Quito y Cuenca, posteriormente, en el 2017 se aplicará a varias capitales de provincia, y finalmente, en el 2018, todo el territorio nacional tendrá únicamente señales de televisión digital. A través de encuestas realizadas a habitantes de la ciudadela “La Floresta 3” de la ciudad de Guayaquil, elaborar un análisis de conocimiento e información sobre la Televisión Digital Terrestre y apagón analógico, e impacto económico que tiene la implementación de este servicio en este sector del país. Los resultados obtenidos de la evaluación, permiten definir los problemas que surgen de la implementación de televisión digital terrestre y apagón analógico en la Cdla. Floresta 3, con estos datos realizar un análisis FODA de la situación actual; por ultimo planificar y determinar estrategias para la implementación de televisión digital que gobernantes de estado pueden considerar para la implementación de este servicio, para que el pueblo que habita en la Cdla. La Floresta 3 goce de este servicio sin importar al estrato social al que pertenezca.
This thesis project evidences studying the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television - DTT in Ecuador, and the called "analog blackout" that is the cessation of analog broadcast signal for television transmission in Ecuador; in other words the analog switch defines the time in which the transition should run without return of analogue transmission to digital system. In our country it will be implemented progressively, starting on December 31, 2016 and ending on December 31, 2018. Its implementation is divided into three phases: starting with the localities with the largest population, cities like Guayaquil, Quito Cuenca and later in 2017 will be apply to several provincial capitals, and finally, in 2018, the whole country will have only digital television signal. Through surveys of inhabitants of "La Floresta 3" of the city of Guayaquil, produce an analysis of knowledge and information on the Digital Terrestrial Television and analog switch, and economic impact of the implementation of this service in this sector from the country. The results of the evaluation are used to define the problems arising from the implementation of digital terrestrial television and digital switchover in the Floresta 3 with these data make a SWOT analysis of the current situation; finally plan and determine strategies for the implementation of digital television that state governments can consider for to implement of this service, so that the people living in that neighborhood enjoy this service regardless of the social stratum to which it belongs.
