The present thesis aims to initiate the establishment of biological connectivity through tree restoration between Cerro Blanco Protective Forest and Guayaquil Forest Protector Papagayo. So began restoring the area that would serve as a connector between both protective forests, which had a length of 200 meters. For this, seven native species of tropical dry forest were chosen, distributed in 6 rows of 3x3 meters, with an alternate linear plantation design, prior to the arboreal restoration, a sampling of the avifauna and herpetofauna species present in the area of study, which comprised the area of connectivity between both protective forests and 500 linear meters towards each protective forest to observe the species present before and after the tree restoration. The passage of species from one protective forest to another would be indicative of connectivity. Arboreal growth occurred in a natural way, with Guasmo (Guazuma ulmifolia) and Pechiche (Vitex gigantea) being the fastest growing and Guayacan (Handroanthus chrysanthus), which was expected to grow more slowly, which was expected due to the biology they possess. The species showed a high survival and therefore a low mortality because the plantation occurred during the wet season. In avifauna, two species were observed in the Cerro Blanco Protected Forest, which were not recorded for this forest, Dendrocygna bicolor and Aramus guarauna, and in the herpetofauna, the species Ameiva semptemlineata was observed, which was not registered for this protective forest, this species was observed before and after the restoration, whereas after the restoration Stenocercus iridescens was observed in Papagayo of Guayaquil, this species was not registered for this protective forest.
