Resumen
Esta investigación tiene como finalidad analizar la problemática que envuelve la Propiedad
Intelectual y los Derechos de Autor en cuanto a las obras creadas por estudiantes de
instituciones de educación superior, con soporte legal en las leyes actualmente vigentes en el
país y diferentes escenarios que fundamentan la importancia del conocimiento por parte de los
estudiantes sobre este tema. La investigación consta de enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos,
los mismos que basados en una población de 555 estudiantes de séptimo semestre de la carrera
de Comunicación Social de la Universidad de Guayaquil, y con la opinión de profesionales en el
área de la Universidad de Guayaquil y el Instituto Ecuatoriano de Propiedad Intelectual;
permitirá identificar el nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes en este tema, diagnosticar su
relevancia y ofrecer soluciones óptimas mediante una propuesta que se ejecute en beneficio
del desarrollo académico de los estudiantes.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the issues surrounding intellectual property and copyright in the works created by students of higher education institutions, with legal support in the laws currently in force in the Country and different scenarios that underpin the importance of knowledge by students on this topic. The research consists of qualitative and quantitative approaches, which are based on a population of 555 seventh-semester students in the Social Communication career from the University of Guayaquil, and with the opinion of professionals in the area of University of Guayaquil and the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property; It will allow us to identify the level of knowledge of the students in this topic, diagnose their relevance and offer optimal solutions through a proposal that is implemented to benefit the academic development of the students.
