Resumen
La investigación se enfoca en la escasez de las señaléticas turísticas que presentan
los destinos turísticos y la falta de información que se brinda al turista. Trabajando
con el Manual de Señalización Turística que presenta el Ministerio de Turismo del
Ecuador. El gobierno busca la evolución del turismo dentro del país y para ello
busca fomentar el turismo implementando señaléticas para informar y orientar al
visitante, la restructuración de la infraestructura con la que cuenta los atractivos que
presenta la ciudad e identificar los servicios por medio de pictogramas, conservando
las tradiciones, costumbres de los pueblos y el medio ambiente. La investigación se
enfoca en la implementación de señaléticas, en la vía de acceso al recurso natural
con el que cuenta la ciudad de Quevedo “la cascada Santa Elena”. Ubicada en la
zona rural de la ciudad, su ubicación da como resultado que el turista se extravía
en el camino de ingreso.
