The carious process is considered as a problem of oral health, considering that it has a high index of preeminence. Therefore it should be considered that when this lesion is not stopped in time, it may advance and compromise the pulp tissue thus leading to a purulent process, however, caries is not the only reason pulp tissue is affected, But also traumas. Endodontic treatment is indicated in irreversible pulp diseases, therefore, the removal of the infected pulp is the next step to follow, both the coronary portion and the root portion. The importance of pulp treatment is that it allows the rehabilitation of the tooth in order to keep it in the mouth for masticatory, phonetic and aesthetic purposes.
