The Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a microorganism that attacks the immune system of humans that is going to cause a deficit in the body´s response to pathogens that cause many diseases. The Human Inmunodeficiency Virus remains a major public health problem worldwide; having gained more than thirty-four million lives so far in sub-Saharan Africa is nearly 70% of the global totals of new infections Virus Human Inmunodeficiency in Ecuador in 2011, 3438 new cases of infection by human immunodeficiency virus were confirmed. In the clinical picture of Human immunodeficiency Virus is considered seropositive any person who is infected with this virus, this HIV status is to be determined by a blood test that will demonstrate the presence of specific antibodies against Human immunodeficiency Virus in body that is infected. People infected with the Human immunodeficiency Virus are predisposed to develop opportunistic infections ie is infection in a person with a healthy immune status can fight , but people living with HIV these infections appear to have insufficient immune system, in addition to complications such as kidney failure.
