This thesis focuses on the family – school connection, this being an inseparable bond of integral students formation. One objective is to identify the weaknesses in the coordination and execution of work between teachers and representatives/parents. Besides the desire of providing clear and precise strategies that significantly support the daily task of education. This thesis has been developed in "Enrique Gil Gilbert" Public School in the city of Guayaquil, whose beneficiaries would be the fifth graders of EGB. The research was developed with responsibility and with a desire to provide material that gives the necessary support to teamwork among education stakeholders, and provide effective and appropriate support to the student throughout the educational process. Regarding this matter, it has been developed a theoretical reference to the importance of expanding the presence of parents in the formation of study habits and practice values in their children. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the school and the family constitute a binomial difficult to separate, where parents are naturally the first teachers who have the task of educating. On the other hand, school for its part is the support that the family needs to mold, guide and strengthen the education of children, a thorough investigation was carried out to all involved (director, teachers and parents) in the school under study. They were interviewed and surveyed respectively. The results showed that if there is a deficit in the family – school connection, for that reason it has developed a training manual based on "teamwork between teachers and parents", offering practices and strategies necessary to achieve optimal impact in school and thus in society
