This research was conducted in the northern city of Guayaquil, with a height of 6 m and annual rainfall of 1,176 mm of water with a temperature of 33.5 ° C to 18.9 ° C. The objectives in this research were: quantifying the incidence of hypothyroidism in dogs with dermatitis; blood samples were taken to determine the parameters under laboratory T3 - T4 and cholesterol in 200 dogs with dermatitis issues. With regard to the age of the canines, the 82.50% have ages between 1-7 years, following in the 9.50% representative present younger than one year, while 7.50% of the canines has aged 8-14 years. (See table2). After the respective analyzes, seventy of the 200 cases were positive, which means that 35.00% of the dogs had hypothyroidism, and one hundred and thirty of the 200 cases were negative, representing 65.00%. (See Table 4). It was determined that the results of T3 units (ng. / dl.), 20 cases were positive (28.6%), while the results of units T4 (nmol. / L.) were 50 positive cases (71.4%) with which we can conclude that analyze T4 has a greater efficiency of diagnosing hypothyroidism. (See table 7). Analyzing more in detail the developed hypothyroidism canine, podernos realize that 42 of the dogs investigated were females with a percentage of (42.42%), while only 28 dogs were male representing (27.72%), so we can say that females have a higher percentage than males Hypothyroidism presenting. Among the most affected breeds investigated with greater presence of hypothyroidism are: French Poodle 30%, Mestizo 15%, 8.57% Schnauzer, Shih tzu 5.71%, 5.71% Golden Retriever, Labrador 5.71%, 4.29% Pitbull, others 17.14%.
