Resumen
La problemática de rehabilitación de la pieza dentaria tratada endodonticamente, también ha tenido cambios conceptuales en los últimos tiempos. Tradicionalmente se ha sostenido que las piezas dentarias sometidas a tratamientos endodonticos se encontrarían debilitadas en su estructura y capacidad para recibir los esfuerzos funcionales habituales. Sosteniendo esas afirmaciones han sido, entre otras, que dichas piezas serían más “friables e inelásticas” por perdida de humedad, más débiles por perdida de estabilidad en su comportamiento biomecánico, disminuidas en sus propiedades físico-mecánicas o también alteradas estructuralmente por perdida de tejido dentinario.
Otro factor importante de señalar, es que no todo diente tratado endodónticamente debe recibir poste para ser “reforzado”. Debido a que los postes son colocados en el interior de las raíces, y serán utilizados únicamente cuando necesitemos retener una restauración prefiriendo siempre un sistema de postes paralelo sobre los postes cónicos.Por último siempre la corona artificial deberá abrazar la suficiente cantidad de tejido dentario, en altura y grosor, para hacer predecible el tratamiento y evitar así las fracturas.
La rehabilitación de los dientes tratados endodónticamente merece especial atención, ya que por lo general estas piezas deben ser sometidas a ciertos procedimientos clínicos que les garanticen durabilidad.Esta información, analizándola en conjunto con factores extrínsecos como oclusión, posición y función, estado periodontal, estructura remanente y morfología radicular, le permitirá al odontólogo tomar la decisión sobre el tratamiento restaurador.
En el presente trabajo de investigación, trata de la colocación de un poste en dientes anteriores tratados endodonticamente
The problem of rehabilitation of endodontically treated tooth has also been conceptual changes in recent times . Traditionally it has been argued that the teeth subjected to endodontic treatment would be found in its structure and weakened capacity for the usual functional efforts. Holding these claims have been, among others, these parts would be more " brittle and inelastic " by moisture loss , weaker for loss of stability in their biomechanical behavior , decreased in their physico- mechanical properties and also altered structurally by tissue loss dentin . Another important factor to note is that not all endodontically treated tooth should receive post to be " reinforced " .
