Resumen
El presente análisis estudia la evolución del desempleo en Guayaquil y su correlación
con el crecimiento poblacional de la ciudad a través de los diferentes factores que la influyen,
las principales causas atribuidas al desempleo son los movimientos migratorios, el crecimiento
poblacional y la falta de oportunidades laborales, por otro lado el crecimiento poblacional
que ha tenido la ciudad Guayaquil en los últimos 5 años, como un elemento particular,
ha limitado la capacidad de mercado laboral para sus habitantes; creando necesidades
económicas en los hogares, lo que impacta en el crecimiento del índice de desempleo en
esta ciudad. La metodología utilizada se basó y tomo como referencia el Instituto Nacional
de Estadísticas y Censos con sus respectivas base de datos y distintos artículos científicos
que soportan el análisis realizado en esta investigación.
The present analysis studies the evolution of unemployment in Guayaquil in its correlation with the population growth of the city through the different factors that influence it, the main causes attributed to unemployment are the migratory movements , the population growth and the lack of job opportunities, on the other hand the population growth that the city Guayaquil has had in the last 5 years, as a particular element, has limited the labor market capacity for its inhabitants; creating economic needs in households, which impacts on the growth of the unemployment rate in this city. The methodology used was based on and took as reference the National Institute of Statistics and Census with its respective database and different scientific articles that support the analysis made in this research.
