Resumen
Ecuador depende principalmente de las exportaciones de petróleo, sin embargo, cuenta con bienes nacionales exportables reconocidos en el exterior por su alta calidad y buen precio. El sector florícola forma parte de los bienes no tradicionales primarios, siendo de este grupo el más representativo. Esta industria se ha desarrollado significativamente a través de los años debido a distintos factores, a pesar de ello se ha empezado a evidenciar un decrecimiento a partir del 2015, situación que pone en una posición de incertidumbre a los exportadores, quienes expresan que en el país ya no es negocio trabajar en este sector. Las exportaciones de flores han presentado importantes auges que han contribuido de manera considerable en la balanza comercial, por tal motivo, el objetivo principal de este estudio es analizar la producción y exportación de flores en el Ecuador y su participación en el monto de los productos no tradicionales. Esta investigación es analítica - cualitativa ya que a través de datos estadísticos y de la investigación teórica pertinente, se identificaron los factores preponderantes que han sido causa del crecimiento y decrecimiento del sector. Dicho estudio concluye que la renuncia del ATPDEA, así como la devaluación del rublo son los principales factores que han perjudicado a las exportaciones del sector en los últimos años, siendo el mercado de los Países Bajos el más prometedor para colocar las exportaciones de flores ecuatorianas
Ecuador depends mainly on oil exports, however, it has national exportable goods recognized abroad for its high quality and good price. The floriculture sector is part of the primary non-traditional goods, being this group the most representative. This industry has developed significantly over the years due to different factors, although it has begun to show a decrease since 2015, a situation that puts exporters in a position of uncertainty, who express that in the country It is no longer business to work in this sector. The exports of flowers have presented important booms that have contributed of considerable way in the commercial balance, for such motive, the main objective of this study is to analyze the production and export of flowers in Ecuador and its participation in the amount of the products not traditional This research is analytical - qualitative since through statistical data and pertinent theoretical research, the preponderant factors that have been the cause of the growth and decrease of the sector were identified. This study concludes that the resignation of the ATPDEA, as well as the devaluation of the ruble are the main factors that have harmed exports of the sector in recent years, with the Netherlands market the most promising to place exports of Ecuadorian flowers
