tratamiento no estaría indicado
Malocclusions are a dental and skeletal problem that requires the dentist to provide an effective and individual treatment in each case, skeletal type malocclusions must be treated at an early age to avoid future complications that may end in surgical treatments. The anterior crossbite should be treated early, preferably when the bone development does not exceed its maximum growth potential all this to avoid harmful influences on the growth and development of the maxilla and jaw. The present clinical case demonstrates the effectiveness of the use of the facial mask Deleire Verdon in order to correct the anterior cross bite by obligating through the forces of traction the development and bone growth in a time of 4 months. The therapeutic methodology followed is the placement of a fixed orthopedic device that consists of bands in the molars, a vestibular arch with T stockings and a HYRAX type palatine disjunction screw, the facial mask was used for 12 hours daily through 3/16 "heavy garters and activating the screw two quarter turns a day in the morning and once at night, thus correcting the anterior and posterior crossbite. The results of the case by the use of the Delaire Verndon facial mask for 4 months were very effective when treating a class III skeletal patient who presented young permanent dentition together with a palatal disjunction screw, without which the treatment would not be indicated
