Gestion del cuidado sobre el metodo canguro en el area de neonatologia en el Hospital Universitario en el periodo octubre 2017 a febrero 2018

Resumen
El método Mamá Canguro fue creado para mejorar la atención de los recién nacidos pre términos, razón por la cual la presente investigación planteó el objetivo de “determinar cómo se gestiona el cuidado del método Madre Canguro en el Área de Neonatología del Hospital Universitario de la ciudad de Guayaquil, durante el periodo de octubre del 2017 a marzo del 2018. Se aplicó metodología transversal, descriptiva, cuantitativa, empleando la encuesta a las madres, estableciéndose como hallazgos que los recursos físicos, humanos y materiales no estuvieron totalmente disponibles, porque para 60% de madres la infraestructura no es adecuada, ni los mobiliarios, además no se contó con los recursos suficientes para la higiene, lo que no permitió que se optimizara la gestión del cuidado del método Madre Canguro. Los profesionales de enfermería no recibieron la capacitación suficiente, por lo que no cuentan con el nivel de preparación apropiado, ni tampoco se orientaron en un protocolo especializado para optimizar la gestión del cuidado del método Madre Canguro, a pesar de ello controlaron la temperatura del recién nacido para mantenerla en los niveles apropiados, observándose limitaciones en la ejecución de la charlas a las partes interesadas, así como la consejería de autocuidado y el apoyo emocional, que solo fueron suministrados a cuatro de cada diez madres, generando insatisfacción en más de la tercera parte de madres. En conclusión, la gestión del cuidado del método Madre Canguro fue parcialmente aceptable
The Kangaroo Mama method was created to improve the care of preterm newborns, which is why the present research set out the objective of "determining how care is managed by the Kangaroo Mother method in the Neonatology Area of the University Hospital of the city of Guayaquil, during the period from October 2017 to March 2018. Cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative methodology was applied, using the survey of mothers, establishing as findings that physical, human and material resources were not fully available, because for 60% of mothers the infrastructure is not adequate, nor the furnishings, besides, there was not enough resources for hygiene, which did not allow optimizing the care management of the Kangaroo Mother method. Nursing professionals did not receive sufficient training, so they do not have the appropriate level of preparation, nor were they guided in a specialized protocol to optimize the care management of the Kangaroo Mother method, despite this they controlled the temperature of the newborn born to maintain it at the appropriate levels, observing limitations in the execution of the talks to the interested parties, as well as self-care counseling and emotional support, which were only provided to four out of ten mothers, generating dissatisfaction in more than the third part of mothers. In conclusion, the care management of the Kangaroo Mother method was partially acceptable.
