Cholelithiasis is one of the most frequent and prevalent chronic digestive diseases, with a higher incidence in advanced ages and women. Its treatment (cholecystectomy) is one of the habitual abdominal surgical acts carried out The most common clinical manifestation of vesicular lithiasis occurs when contraction of the gallbladder mobilizes gallstones or biliary mud into the cystic duct, causing its transient obstruction. Generally, when the gallbladder relaxes, the lithiasis falls back into the gallbladder, symptoms appear during cystic obstruction, and subsequently cystic In most patients, the patient is suffering from pain in the right hypochondrium or the epigastrium. It is constant, of variable intensity, and can radiate to the right scapula and associate diaphoresis, nausea and vomiting. Occasionally it is triggered one to two hours after a high fat intake The present quantitative, retrospective investigation reveals that cholecystitis / cholelithiasis is a frequent pathology in the female sex with an average age of 30 to 40 years. Related complications include acute biliary tract injury in short-term complications such as bilioma, biliary peritonitis, sepsis, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, external biliary fistula, cholangitis, hepatic abscess, and others.
