Resumen
El mercado de los odontólogos ahora ha cambiado, el flujo de pacientes ha disminuido y ya no son ellos en general quienes abandonan las consultas sino sus sistemas de salud: obras sociales, empresas de medicina prepaga y sistemas odontológicos privados junto con sistemas de prestaciones públicas que no les permite a los pacientes ejercer su elección, sino aceptar a los profesionales que se encuentran dentro de un listado. La prevención sigue siendo algo desconocido y la concurrencia semestral para un chequeo, algo de lo que son conscientes solo unos pocos. El incremento notorio en el número de egresados cada año hace que el mercado sea cada vez más competitivo. Por lo tanto se hace imprescindible por la competencia existente no solo estar frecuentemente a la vanguardia de los avances científicos y tecnológicos sino también aplicar técnicas para atraer pacientes y lograr fidelizar a los ya existentes, lográndose este propósito mediante el marketing. Hasta hace no muchos años, los odontólogos conseguían sus pacientes a través de un sistema de recomendación tan primitivo como efectivo: el boca a oreja. No importaba cómo o dónde se instalaran: más temprano que tarde la clientela se afianzaba y así se llegaba a conseguir pacientes cautivos. Los pacientes sabían que para obtener los servicios profesionales se tenían que armar de paciencia, tanto para lograr una cita como para permanecer largas horas en una sala de espera. En la última década el Marketing se viene aplicando con fuerza en los diferentes campos de nuestra sociedad y la Odontología no está ajena a este fenómeno. 2 En la Facultad Piloto de Odontología de la Universidad Estatal de Guayaquil no se tiene conocimientos de cómo llevar a cabo las técnicas de marketing, a las que el estudiante pueda acceder y aplicarlas en su vida profesional. En esta investigación se realiza un estudio acerca del marketing y sus estrategias dentro del campo odontológico, técnicas que le sirvan de ayuda al odontólogo para proporcionar un mejor servicio y obtener un número suficiente de pacientes que le permita tener éxito profesional y personal. Al marketing recurren las grandes empresas que producen artículos de consumo masivo, y también las que brindan servicios personalizados o de empresa a empresa, y los profesionales independientes.El papel del marketing dental es establecer, mantener y mejorar las relaciones entre odontólogos y pacientes, de manera que los objetivos de ambos sean alcanzados. El marketing incluye información de mercado conocimiento del producto, fuerza de marca, servicio al cliente, relaciones públicas comunicación visual, dominio sobre precios, nuevos productos y compromiso de política de servicios para el odontólogo. Esto se logra mediante un intercambio mutuo y el cumplimiento de promesas. La capacidad de socializar y comunicarse es el aspecto central dentro del marketing. Esto se obtiene a través del Marketing de Relacionamiento cuyo objetivo es reforzarla relación paciente-profesional creando la lealtad del paciente, que además de ser fiel será gran divulgador de su trabajo.

Patients knew for services professionals had to build patience , both to achieve an appointment to stay long hours in a waiting room . In the last decade Marketing has been applied in the hard different fields of our society and is no stranger to Dentistry this phenomenon . 2 In the Pilot Faculty of Dentistry, State University Guayaquil has no knowledge of how to perform the techniques marketing , which students can access and apply their professional life. In this research , a study was done about the marketing and strategies within the dental field , techniques that will serve as helps the dentist to provide better service and have a sufficient number of patients to allow yourself and professional success personnel . By turning the big marketing companies producing items consumer , and also providing customized services or business to business, and professional role independientes.El dental marketing is to establish , maintain and improve relations between dentists and patients , so that the objectives of both are achieved. Marketing includes market information knowledge Product , brand strength , customer service , public relations visual communication , control over prices , new products and commitment to service policy for the dentist . This is achieved through mutual exchange and fulfillment of promises. the ability to socialize and communicate is the focus within the marketing. This is achieved through Marketing Relationship which aims to strengthen patient-provider relationship creating loyalty patient , in addition to being faithful be great promoter of his work.
