Enfermedades de transmisión sexual en el área n°3 del Ministerio de Salud Pública de la provincia del Guayas

Abstract

Las enfermedades de transmisión sexual (ETS) siguen siendo un problema de salud pública y sus agentes causales son variados desde bacterias hasta virus, protozoarios, hongos y otros. Para algunos de ellos hay tratamientos específicos y cura, pero para otras hay tratamiento pero no cura, así mismos estas patologías puede afectar el embarazo y al feto. Por la importancia de este problema, se realizó esta investigación en el área # 3 del Ministerio de Salud Pública en la que se detectó 100 casos con ETS de las cuales las enfermedades que más predominaron fueron:  Candidiasis 37%  Tricomoniasis 25%  Sífilis 17%  SIDA 12%  Condiloma acuminado 6%  Pediculosis pubis 2%  Herpes genital 1%

En este estudio el sexo femenino predominó con el 84% además encontramos que la década de los 20 – 40 años tuvo mayor incidencia, dentro de los casos analizados encontramos que la mayoría de los pacientes estaban desempleados en un 66% y el 56% tenía instrucción primaria, en cuanto al estado civil tenemos que el 54% correspondía a la unión libre. De los 100 casos se diagnosticaron 37% de candidiasis por visión directa y en menor porcentaje mediante tinción de Gram y cultivo. Los 25 casos de tricomoniasis se lo diagnosticó con el examen en fresco, además de su sintomatología. Hubo 17 casos de VDRL positivo con FTA – abs positiva que correspondían 8 casos a sífilis primaria, 1 sífilis secundaria, 1 congénita y 7 no determinada. Los 12 casos de SIDA se los diagnosticó primero con microelisa y luego se confirmó con el de Weter Blod. Solo se determinó 6 casos con Condiloma acuminado lo cual se caracterizó por la presencia de la verruga característica. Hubo un único saco de Herpes genital pero entre las consultas ginecológicas se observó la presencia de dos pacientes con Pediculosis puvis.
