Resumen
El presente trabajo posee como objetivo principal el analizar el aporte que la banca ecuatoriana, conformada por los bancos privados y las instituciones financieras públicas, ha representado para el desarrollo del sector de las microempresas en el país. Para lo cual se estableció un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcances de tipo descriptivo, documental y correlacional. Esta situación estará determinada por el volumen de crédito que estas entidades financieras han otorgado a estas unidades empresariales por concepto de préstamo. Para lo cual se distinguirán las diversas carteras o segmentos de crédito que el sistema financiero ecuatoriano mantiene activas, y como su evolución, a través de los años, ha permitido lograr el desarrollo de las actividades realizadas por el conjunto de empresas catalogadas como microempresas. Subrayando que 9 de cada 10 empresas en el país, pertenecen a este grupo de establecimientos, concentrando gran parte de la distribución de mano de obra registrada en el país.
The main objective of this paper is to analyze the contribution that the Ecuadorian banking, made up of private banks and public financial institutions, has represented for the development of the microenterprise sector in the country. For which a quantitative approach was established, with descriptive, documentary and correlational scope. This situation will be determined by the volume of credit that these financial entities have granted to these business units as a loan. For which the different portfolios or credit segments that the Ecuadorian financial system keeps active will be distinguished, and how its evolution, through the years, has allowed to achieve the development of the activities carried out by the set of companies classified as micro-enterprises. Underscoring that 9 out of 10 companies in the country belong to this group of establishments, concentrating a large part of the distribution of labor registered in the country.
