Resumen
Ha llegado a comprobarse que el sistema agrícola tradicional, particularmente en cultivos de arroz, ha generado problemas visibles tanto en salud de los agricultores como en quienes consumen el producto final y al ambiente, por lo cual se presenta una nueva propuesta la agroecológica la cual propone un sistema agrícola sustentable, que tiene como objetivo mitigar los daños ambientales existentes.
Este estudio tiene por objetivo determinar la factibilidad económica de la aplicación del sistema agroecológico en el cultivo de arroz de la parroquia Tarifa, Provincia del Guayas.
Destacando que el principal temor de los agricultores ante las nuevas formas de cultivo radica en el temor al cambio y desconocimiento de nuevas prácticas a las aplicadas desde siempre, así como el desconcierto en cuanto al nivel de producción de sus cosechas y la utilidad obtenida. Pero el sistema agroecológico ha demostrado ser sustentable económica y ambientalmente hablando.
Por tanto, el sistema agroecológico se presenta como un sistema de producción agrícola sustentable, enmarcándose por consiguiente en las teorías del desarrollo sustentable compartiendo objetivos con el mismo, basándose en ciencias agrarias y ecológicas para preservar la naturaleza; destacamos que este método surgió como respuesta a las protestas de grupos sociales levantados con el objetivo de mitigar el daño ambiental causado por el sistema de producción convencional.
It has come to be verified that the traditional agricultural system, particularly in rice crops, has generated visible problems both in the health of farmers and in those who consume the final product and the environment, for that reason this is a new agroecological proposal agroecological which shows a sustainable agricultural system, which aims to mitigate existing environmental damage. The objective of this study is to determine the economic feasibility of the application of the agroecological system in rice cultivation in the parish of Tarifa, Province of Guayas. Emphasizing that the main fear of farmers, before new forms of cultivation, lies in the fear of change and ignorance of new practices to those applied since always as well as the confusion in terms of the level of production of their crops and the profit obtained. But the agroecological system has proven to be economically and environmentally sustainable. Therefore, the agroecological system is presented as a system of sustainable agricultural production, thus framed in the theories of sustainable development, sharing objectives with it, based on agrarian and ecological sciences to preserve nature; we emphasize that this method arose in response to the protests of social groups raised with the objective of mitigating the environmental damage caused by the conventional production system.
