Resumen
El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la balanza comercial de bienes no petroleros entre Ecuador y la Comunidad Andina e indicar las ventajas y desventajas de permanecer en la integración, sobre la base de las estadísticas del Banco Central del Ecuador, periodo 2013-2017; el tema involucra una investigación con enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, de diseño no experimental, el método utilizado es el analítico y, su alcance es descriptivo y documental; las fuentes de datos son secundarias y fueron descargadas de la página web del Banco Central del Ecuador y de la Comunidad Andina para los años del periodo, por lo que el análisis es histórico. Luego del análisis se concluye que, el resultado de la balanza comercial no petrolera es deficitaria y en base al Índice de Ventaja Comparativa Revelada Absoluta se demostró que existe desventaja comparativa en el comercio intracomunitario. Estos resultados se dieron aun cuando se aplicaron medidas proteccionistas durante 2015-2017 que, lograron frenar un poco las importaciones, pero también hubo caída de las exportaciones por el efecto de la apreciación del dólar y la devaluación de las monedas de los países de la subregión
The objective of this research is to analyze the trade balance of non-oil goods between Ecuador and the Community, and to point out the advantages and disadvantages in integration, based on the statistics of the Central Bank of Ecuador, 2013-2017 period; the subject involved in an investigation with a quantitative and qualitative approach, of non-experimental design, the method used in the analysis and its scope is descriptive and documentary; the data sources are secondary and are downloaded from the website of the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Andean Community for the years of the period, so the analysis is historical. After the analysis, it is concluded that the result of the non-oil trade balance is deficient and based on the Absolute Revealed Comparative Advantage Index it was shown that there is a comparative disadvantage in intra-community trade. These results occurred even when protectionist measures were applied during 2015-2017, which managed to slow down imports a little, but there was also a fall in exports due to the effect of the appreciation of the dollar and the devaluation of the currencies of the countries of the subregion
