Resumen
Rico en recursos lo que le ha abierto puerta a mercados importantes
compradores de minería y alimentación, lo ha ayudado a mantenerse
durante el tiempo por las exportaciones de estos productos.
Sin embargo en estos tiempos frente a una volatilidad de precios de los
productos primarios, es cada vez más importante diversificar nuestra
producción en productos que contengan un mayor valor agregado, en el
sector secundario.

El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad dar a conocer la importancia
económica del sector textil en la economía nacional. En especial de la
producción de Ropa infantil en Ecuador y su capacidad exportadora.
A través del análisis de la oferta y la demanda se descubre que la actual
demanda es insatisfecha por una oferta nacional escasa muy limitada en
diseño e innovación, por lo que se busca importaciones de países con
costos más baratos, más competitivos por su continuo desarrollo en el
sector.
Esto provoca que las importaciones de prendas de vestir sean mayores a
las exportaciones de nuestros productos y genera un déficit en la balanza
comercial. Además del interés del gobierno por incentivar la producción
nacional imponiendo aranceles a la importación lo que genera un factor
alto, provoca asimismo que los precios se eleven y afecten al comercio
nacional.
