Industria textil y Comercio Justo para la Competitividad en el Mercado Global. Caso Pelileo (2010-2017)

Resumen
Considerando que la industria manufacturera es la segunda actividad económica más importante del cantón Pelileo y a nivel nacional al sector textil se reconoce como el tercero más relevante de la economía ecuatoriana, el presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar la industria textil de Pelileo y el comercio justo para la competitividad en el mercado global. Para su realización se aplicó el método de investigación de enfoque mixto, es decir cuantitativo y cualitativo; donde se utilizaron dos técnicas de recopilación de datos: encuestas y análisis documental mediante diferentes indicadores que midieron las variables de estudio: exportaciones, las cuales engloban a la producción, el salario, los precios y el comercio justo y se pudieron obtener los resultados necesarios para corroborar la teoría “la capacidad exportable de la industria de jean en Pelileo se ve afectada por el anterior sistema de maquila impidiendo el desarrollo de un comercio justo” Finalmente se concluyó que la industria textil de Pelileo actualmente se encuentra bajo un nuevo sistema productivo, el cual ha sufrido cambios, sin embargo, existen características innatas del sistema productivo maquila original dentro de la misma.
