Resumen
El proyecto de investigación está enfocado en las estrategias cognitivas y
cómo su uso y aplicación beneficia ampliamente los procesos de
aprendizaje en las aulas. Se desarrolló en la ciudad de Guayaquil, en la
Escuela de Educación Básica Fiscal N° 253 “Guillermo Soto Zatizabal”,
institución donde se evidenció un déficit en los procesos de comprensión
lectora, para lo cual, con el objetivo de estimular y potenciar las habilidades
de lectura, se propuso la elaboración de una guía didáctica de estrategias
cognitivas y así proveer a los docentes de nuevas herramientas con las
cuales trabajen desarrollando estas habilidades con los estudiantes. Para
recolectar la información del contexto educativo se utilizaron técnicas como
la encuesta, la entrevista y una prueba de comprensión lectora aplicada a
los estudiantes de básica media. Los resultados de las pruebas dieron a
conocer el nivel de comprensión lectora de los estudiantes, donde los
resultados estaban divididos por categorías: nivel bajo, nivel medio y alto.
En los tres grados evaluados los puntajes se ubicaron en un promedio de
75% del total entre bajo y medio. Estos resultados justifican la problemática
del bajo nivel de comprensión lectora que existe en la institución. La guía
didáctica tiene como objetivo mejorar el nivel de comprensión lectora en los
estudiantes
The research project is focused on cognitive strategies and how their use and application greatly benefits the learning processes in the classroom. It was developed in the city of Guayaquil, in the School of Fiscal Basic Education N ° 253 "Guillermo Soto Zatizabal", institution where a deficit in the processes of reading comprehension was evidenced, for which, in order to stimulate and enhance the skills of reading, it was proposed the elaboration of a didactic guide of cognitive strategies and thus to provide to the teachers with new tools with which they work developing these abilities with the students. To collect information from the educational context, techniques such as the survey, the interview and a reading comprehension test applied to middle school students were used. The results of the tests revealed the level of reading comprehension of the students, where the results were divided into categories: low level, medium level and high level. In the three grades evaluated, the scores were placed on an average of 75% of the total between low and medium. These results justify the problem of the low level of reading comprehension that exists in the institution. The didactic guide aims to improve the level of reading comprehension in students
