Resumen
La formación disciplinaria del odontólogo egresado de la Facultad Piloto
de Odontología ha tenido un enfoque de las diferentes disciplinas que
conforman el campo odontológico, apartándose de la administración del
consultorio, lo que conlleva muchas veces a una deficiencia en el manejo
administrativo de una clínica dental.
Esta complejidad no permite que el odontólogo pueda calcular con suma
certeza los ingresos y egresos que genera su propio consultorio dental y
debido a esto no sabe fijar realmente el precio de venta de sus servicios
en cada uno de los tratamientos que ofrece al público, o bien le da
unprecio de venta sustentado en bases inexistentes , que no tolera un
análisis certero y detallado, dándole a conocer cifras erróneas de la
ganancia real de un tratamiento dental, corriendo el riesgo algunas veces
de poder llegar a la frustración o más aun al fracaso económicopor no
haber tomado en consideración algunos factores esenciales que a lo largo
de este tema se tomaran en cuenta para fijar un precio de venta de un
tratamiento dental.
Recordemos que ningún consultorio podrá sobrevivir sin pacientes y estos
no existirán, si no se les ofrece honorarios adecuados que sean
aceptados por ellos y sobre todo, que los puedan y quieran pagar.
Los pacientes son un elemento fundamental en nuestro ejercicio
profesional, porque nuestros consultorios son empresas en las que se
ofrecen servicios de salud dental. Debemos de corregir errores en la
actualización de precios en nuestros tratamientos dentales.
Este trabajo será realizado con material bibliográfico de odontólogos
especializados en la elaboración de precios adecuados según sus
respectivos factores de análisis de ganancias. Además de tomar en
cuenta la necesidad de mejorar la administración de nuestros
consultorios.
