Resumen
AGUAPEN S. A., que tiene como actividad principal la producción de agua
potable, es una empresa única en su rama, se encarga además de la potabilización
del agua, la distribución y venta de la misma, y opera en todos los sectores que
comprenden la provincia de Santa Elena. El estudio realizado a través de esta tesis
nos encarga la necesidad de dar soluciones a distintos problemas que se han
detectado principalmente en el proceso de producción. En los primeros capítulos
se detallan diferentes ámbitos de la planta, comenzando por la situación actual, se
analiza, registra y evalúa los problemas encontrados, desarrollando propuestas de
acuerdo a técnicas basadas en Ingeniería Industrial. Para elaborar el diagnóstico,
se identificó cuatro problemas bien definidos como son deficiente proceso
productivo, equipos que afectan la calidad del agua, daños en módulos MPA, y
niveles bajos de agua en caudales de abastecimiento, siendo éstos la referencia
para dar las respectivas soluciones. En metodología se aplicó diagrama Causa y
Efecto, Pareto, análisis FODA, con lo que se confirmó los problemas enunciados
anteriormente. Con la propuesta se desarrollan los objetivos específicos que son
elaborar un programa de mantenimiento para el área de módulos y decantadores
en el que incluye como principal tema la compra de un software de
mantenimiento, la adquisición de equipos, y capacitar al personal de la empresa.
Esta propuesta tiene soporte en la evaluación económica y financiera, además de
haber calculado los índices financieros a partir de la inversión sugerida. En la
parte final se realiza la programación y puesta en marcha visualizada en el
diagrama de Gantt, terminando con las conclusiones y recomendaciones que se
dan para el funcionamiento óptimo de la planta.

Methodology was applied in diagram Cause and Indeed, Pareto, SWOT analysis, which confirmed the problems identified above. The proposed specific objectives that are developed develop a maintenance program for the area of modules and decanters which includes as its main theme the purchase of software maintenance, purchase of equipment, and train personnel of the company. This proposal is supported by the economic and financial evaluation, in addition to financial ratios have been calculated from the suggested investment. In the end of the programming and commissioning is performed in the displayed Gantt chart, ending with conclusions and recommendations provide for optimal operation of the plant.
