Evaluación de la aplicabilidad de las normas de bioseguridad en el Laboratorio Clínico Unidad Metropolitana de Salud Sur agosto-octubre del 2016

Resumen
La bioseguridad, se define como el conjunto de normas, principios, técnicas relacionadas con
el comportamiento preventivo del personal de laboratorio frente a riesgos que son propios de
sus actividades diarias. El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar la aplicación de las normas
de bioseguridad del personal de laboratorio clínico, para cumplir con este objetivo se realizó
una investigación de tipo cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, el universo y la muestra
estuvieron constituidos por 87 usuarios internos y 13 trabajadores del laboratorio. Se
analizaron variables como el cumplimiento da las normas de bioseguridad, la presencia de
accidentes de trabajo y el grado de conocimiento de estos trabajadores de las normas, se
obtuvo como resultado que a pesar de que el 63,6% de trabajadores dijo haber recibido
capacitación en algún momento de su vida profesional, el 36,4% reporto que nunca ha
recibido capacitación, el 100% de trabajadores usa las debidas prendas de protección, el 87%
conoce la clasificación correcta de desechos, pero hay debilidades en la conducta que se debe
seguir ante el derrame de material biológico, y hay mayores dificultades en la conducta a
seguir frente a la exposición accidental al material biológico, ante estas debilidades se plantea
una serie de medidas entre las que se incluye un programa educativo para los trabajadores del
laboratorio clínico de la Unidad de Salud Sur.
Biosecurity, is defined as the set of norms, principles, and techniques related to the preventive behaviour of the laboratory personnel against risks that are typical of their daily activities. A study was conducted in the Unit of Metropolitan Health of the South during the month of October 2016, the universe and the sample were constituted by 87 patients from different areas of the unit randomly selected. We analyzed variables such as the compliance with da standards of biosecurity, the presence of accidents of work and the degree of knowledge of these workers of the rules, for this a survey questionnaire was developed by the author to collect the data were processed in the statistical program spss 22.0 and presented in tables and graphs. We obtained that in this group of workers is the predominant female sex and the age group between 36 and 45 years, that the 63.6% of the cases had received some type of training on biosafety, as a general rule, the knowledge and the application of the rules of biosecurity is excellent or good, the areas of greatest difficulty are the conduct before the work accidents and the disposal of waste, and that the accident rate is high among the nurses and laboratory personnel. The novelty science is in the knowledge of compliance with biosafety regulations in this health unit. Created a proposal for educational tool for the workers on the issue through talks.
