Introduction: Amphotericin B is a polyene antifungal agent with in vitro activity against a wide variety of fungal pathogens. The administration of amphotericin B may be associated with adverse effects. they occur after repeated administrations of the drug as hydroelectrolytic disorders, the most worrisome toxicity and on which the majority of the studies have focused is still nephrotoxicity. In this study, it was proposed to determine the adverse reactions due to the use of Amphotericin B in patients with HIV / AIDS at the Hospital de Infectología de Guayaquil. Methodology: A non-experimental study was carried out, with an observational and descriptive analysis of a retrospective time line. Results: 55% patients were female patients and 86.1% were patients under 64 years of age. Co-infection with tuberculosis occurred in 29.8% of patients with systemic mycosis. Adverse reactions such as nephrotoxicity occurred in 33.1% of patients and at least 11.9% of patients presented hydroelectrolytic disorders
