Currently, new requirements and hardware market characteristics force to make sure each process of the organization contributes efficiently and effectively to its value chain. The process of Credit Quota Allocation, which is developed within the key macro process of marketing, has also been integrated into this group. However, the effort and demand organization applying are lower compared to what is applied in macro processes or in those of wider coverage because of the perception of an indirect impact on the external customer. The development of this project aims to design a process of Credit Quota Allocation for hardware companies in Guayaquil based on the ISO/TC176/SC 2/N 544R3 guidance, focusing on “process approach” of ISO 9001: 2008, to strengthen the value chain of those companies. For this research qualitative and quantitative methodologies were used. We worked with a sample distributed in the three largest Hardware companies in Guayaquil and data collection was conducted through interviews with analysts, as well as surveys and data tabulation of documents attached to credit applications. The data evaluation confirms that the process and its treatment deserve to be further developed. The process of credit quota allocation is able to better contribute to the value chain when the quality of the inputs is monitored and its process performance is controlled and measured with accurate indicators; moreover corrective and improvement plans are implemented.
