the lack of space in the dental arches, commonly there is crowding of one or more dental pieces, in the same way there may be a lack of eruption of them, many times due to the bad intraosseous positioning of the tooth, in many cases the persistence of the dental retention, is the cause of bad lingual or labial position of the retained tooth, produces migration of the tooth adjacent to the space that the retained tooth did not occupy, with the relevant loss of arch length, root resorption of the retained canine, which could also affect the neighboring teeth, referred pain, facial neuralgia and other disorders, the objective of the present work was to determine a suitable imaging method, a 13-year-old female patient who wanted to have an orthodontic treatment was treated, the presence of a retained canine that was to be corrected for e The success of the treatment, the extraction of the first molars was carried out and an orthodontic button was placed in the canine to locate it in the space that was obtained with the extractions. It was concluded that the best treatment option is the surgical one due to the How quickly results are obtained is much better when combined with orthodontic treatments.
