Pregnancy is directly related to physiological changes and other abnormalities like anemia, which may have slight or serious consequences. The present study aims to evaluate the values of average hematological parameters in each trimester of pregnancy and their possible variations to carry a better monitoring of the blood health of pregnant women. The objective of this research was to conduct a study of hematological parameters for each trimester of pregnancy in pregnant women, at the Hospital General del Norte de Guayaquil Los Ceibos (IESS). Materials and methods. Observational, descriptive and analytical study. A sample of 100 blood counts belonging to healthy pregnant women was selected during three trimesters of pregnancy. Results The average hemoglobin was 12.29 ± 1.04 g / dl first trimester, 11.50 ± 1.03 g / dl second trimester and 11.89 ± 1.11 g / dl third trimester with a decrease in the last two, while compared with referential values the last two quarters are low. As for the hematocrit for the first 36.34 ± 2.73, 34.51 ± 2.72 second and 35.36 ± 3.01.72 third quarter, having a decrease in the second trimester compared to the first and third, the three values are for below the reference value. The average erythrocytes were 4.22 ± 0.31 first, 3.91 ± 0.34 second and 4.07 ± 0.37 in the third trimester being the most noticeable change in the second trimester. The rest of the parameters presented normal values versus reference values. Conclusion. There were significant changes in hematological parameters selected between quarters.
