Infecciones oportunistas en mujeres gestantes con vih reactivo en mujeres ingresadas en el Hospital Gineco-Obstétrico Enrique C. Sotomayor, Guayaquil y la Maternidad Matilde Hidalgo de Procel 2014 - 2015

Resumen
El sida es un acrónimo del síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida causado por la infección del virus del VIH, las mujeres embarazas es muy frecuente encontrar infecciones oportunistas que corresponde a la primera causa morbimortalidad materna, el objetivo de esta investigación es identificar la frecuencia de infecciones oportunistas durante el embarazo con VIH reactivo en la Maternidad Enrique C Sotomayor y la Maternidad Materno Infantil Matilde Hidalgo de Procel. METODOLOGÍA se realizó un estudio de tipo observacional descriptivo retrospectivo de corte transversal para lo cual tomamos como universo a todas las madres embarazadas con infecciones oportunistas durante el periodo de mayo del 2014 a mayo del 2015. RESULTADOS. Fue de 248 pacientes con VIH; 208 fueron de la consulta de la Maternidad Enrique C. Sotomayor de las cuales 2 presentaron IO que represento una prevalencia del 1%, y en la Maternidad Materno Infantil Matilde Hidalgo de Procel se atendieron 40 pacientes de las cuales 6 presentaron IO, lo que corresponde al 15% de prevalencia. La prevalencia acumulada fue de 3,22%. El total de IO fue de 8 casos y que el mayor número de casos se presentaron en la Maternidad Materno Infantil Matilde Hidalgo de Procel (6 casos), de los cuales las IO fue tuberculosis con 3 casos y condilomatosis con 3 casos que corresponde el 37,5% c/u, en cambio la infección por herpes genital con 2 casos que correspondió al 25%.
