Resumen
Las carillas indirectas son tratamientos restauradores que han sido utilizados después de muchos años luego de varios análisis clínicos. Principalmente, son más comunes, en el sector anterior, con posibilidades de éxito muy altas. Es un procedimiento restaurador que tiene como porcentajes de éxito próximos al 95% en 15 años. Objetivo: Analizar el uso de carillas indirectas como tratamiento restaurador en dientes anteriores con defectos de esmalte. Método: Descriptivo – Transversal. Se realizó un caso clínico completo en un paciente que presentaba erosión dental y atricción, que requirió la colocación de carillas indirectas ya que es el tratamiento adecuado para este tipo de caso presentado y un procedimiento menos invasivo con una tasa de éxito muy alta. Conclusiones: Es necesario tener el conocimiento adecuado acerca de las técnicas utilizadas para este tipo de tratamiento y evitar fracasos en los procedimientos de restauración. Es indispensable que, durante una restauración estética en el sector anterior, el dentista tenga la capacidad de diferenciar los colores y hacer que las restauraciones sean de un color natural a la pieza dentaria. Recomendaciones: El dentista debe elegir el tipo de material de restauración adecuado dependiendo el tipo de cavidad y sector en el que se trabaja. Evitar un cepillado brusco y una excesiva aplicación de pasta dental, debido a que estos son uno de los factores que causan defectos de esmalte en las piezas dentarias. Mejorar la técnica de cepillado en la que ésta no cause daño a los tejidos
Indirect veneers are restorative treatments that have been used after many years after several clinical analysis. The objective of this study is to analyze the use of indirect veneers as restorative treatment in anterior teeth with enamel defects. The method corresponds to a descriptive and transversal approach. A complete clinical case was performed in a patient who presented with dental erosion and attrition, which required the placement of indirect veneers since it is the appropriate treatment for this type of case presented and a less invasive procedure with a very high success rate. In essence, it is necessary to have adequate knowledge about the techniques used for restorative treatment and avoid failures in restoration procedures. It is essential that, during an aesthetic restoration in the previous sector, the dentist has the ability to differentiate the colors and make the restorations a natural color to the tooth. It is recommended that the dentist chooses the right type of restoration material depending on the type of cavity and sector in which they work. The patient. The patient should also avoid rough brushing and excessive application of toothpaste, because these are one of the factors that cause enamel defects in teeth. Last but not least, the patient should improve the brushing technique in which it does not cause tissue damage
