Everything closely related to the protection of the Dentin-Pulpar complex has evolved over time thanks to scientific advances and discoveries of new biomaterials that directly or indirectly fulfill this function. With adequate knowledge of the properties of these biomaterials and their interaction with the Dentin-Pulp complex, the dentist will be able to tell which and when one or another biomaterial should be used to achieve its purpose. The methodology of this work was based on bibliographic reviews, where several articles from magazines such as Rode, Scielo, Google Scholer, referring to the subject of study were analyzed, thus obtaining the necessary source for the development of this research. Thanks to this information, it was possible to indicate the different biomaterials that can be used for the protection of the Dentino-Pulpar complex, listing their different general and specific characteristics of each one of these, in the same way that their advantages and disadvantages are named. Therefore, it can be concluded that this approach is fundamentally aimed at knowing the different biomaterials available to better perform our treatments, so that better results can be obtained without compromising the ultimate goal that is to protect the tooth and preserve its vitality.
