Resumen
La presente investigación tiene como finalidad analizar la contribución de las Startups en el desarrollo local de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Para aquello se enfatizó en explicar la parte conceptual de este tipo de empresas, surgimiento de las mismas, características, como han venido evolucionando e impacto a nivel mundial a partir de un caso exitoso, todo mediante un método de investigación deductiva (que indica que todo parte de hechos generales hasta llegar a los específicos). La metodología está dentro de un enfoque mixto, es decir, se hizo énfasis en la indagación de información primaria, secundaria, datos estadísticos,
sucesos empíricos y teorías planteadas que tributaran a la presente investigación. Finalmente se puede concluir que estas aportan al empleo en los segmentos de Fintech, Logística, RRHH, Proptech, Ecommerce, siendo más significativo las startups del segmento Logística ya que estas ofrecen una forma más asequible de adquirir trabajo, impulsando el desarrollo tecnológico contribuyendo a mejorar la calidad de vida de la población local.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the contribution of Startups in the local development of the city of Guayaquil. For that, it was emphasized in explaining the conceptual part of this type of companies, their emergence, characteristics, how they have been evolving and impact worldwide from a successful case, all through a deductive research method (which indicates that all part of general facts until reaching the specific ones). The methodology is within a mixed approach, that is, it emphasized the investigation of primary, secondary, statistical, empirical events and theories raised that would contribute to the present investigation. Finally, it can be concluded that these contribute to employment in the Fintech, Logistics, HR, Proptech, Ecommerce segments, being the Logistics segment startups more significant since they offer a more affordable way of acquiring work, thus contributing to improve quality of life of the local population
