Resumen
En este trabajo de investigación se planteó como problemática la prominente participación existente de las actividades agrícolas frente a las demás actividades económicas que se llevan a cabo en Vinces, entre ellas las que conciernen al turismo. El desarrollo de la investigación se lo realizó con el objetivo de analizar la actividad turística para impulsar el desarrollo local del cantón Vinces, provincia de Los Ríos durante el período 2014 -2018, precisamente a razón de la problemática expuesta, se pretende que las actividades turísticas propicien el desarrollo local del cantón. La metodología que se empleó fue bajo un enfoque cualitativo porque permitió describir los componentes que se relacionan con la actividad a nivel institucional, legal y las perspectivas que tienen los habitantes acerca del turismo. El enfoque cuantitativo facilitó la recolección de datos estadísticos, que por una parte se pudo conseguir a través de la realización de encuestas dirigidas a una muestra de la población vinceña de 382 personas. Se determinó que: el cantón cuenta con lugares estratégicos que pueden potenciar el turismo sin embargo estas no son aprovechadas efectivamente lo que genera que los ingresos por parte de esta actividad a la economía de Vinces sean irrisorios, además de otros factores como la seguridad, infraestructura, los servicios de internet, teléfono y otros, afectan negativamente al turismo. Por esto, se recomienda un plan de acción orientado a la solución de dichos problemas y de esta manera fortalecer la actividad turística local
In this research work, the prominent participation of agricultural activities vis-à-vis other economic activities carried out in Vinces was raised as problematic, including those concerning tourism. The development of the research was carried out with the objective of analyzing the tourist activity to boost the local development of the canton Vinces, province of Los Ríos during the period 2014-2018, precisely because of the exposed problem, it is intended that tourism activities propitiate the local development of the canton. The methodology that was used was under a qualitative approach because it allowed describing the components that are related to the activity at the institutional, legal level and the perspectives that the inhabitants have about tourism. The quantitative approach facilitated the collection of statistical data, which on the one hand could be achieved through the conduct of surveys aimed at a sample of the population of 382 people from Vinceña. It was determined that: the canton has strategic places that can boost tourism, however, these are not effectively exploited, which generates that incomes from this activity to the economy of Vinces are laughable, in addition to other factors such as security, infrastructure , internet, telephone and other services, negatively affect tourism. For this reason, an action plan aimed at solving these problems is recommended and, in this way, strengthen local tourism activity
