Resumen
El tabaco es un producto adictivo dado por uno de sus componentes activos la nicotina, incluso de dichos productos es el más perjudicial, constituye un problema de salud de gran magnitud a escala mundial. Es considerado como el factor de riesgo que más influye en la aparición de las principales causas de morbilidad y mortalidad por enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles como las enfermedades respiratorias, cardiovasculares, distintos tipos de cáncer y su inconveniente no son solo para el fumador sino para todo el mundo que se exponga a la aspiración del humo. Lo que conlleva a la necesidad de profundizar y realizar una investigación sobre este problema muy frecuente en los individuos tomando en consideración como Objetivo: Describir las diferentes enfermedades que se presentan en la cavidad bucal por el uso constante del tabaquismo.
La metodología a utilizar fue descriptiva, no experimental transversal por medio de revisiones bibliográficas basándome en análisis y observación de artículos referentes al tema. Teniendo como resultados que el consumo excesivo de tabaco afecta la cavidad bucal en toda su extensión y es ahí donde trae resultados efectos como la halitosis, manchas extrínsecas en los dientes, canceres bucales, enfermedades periodontales y muchas más patologías. Concluyendo que el estomatólogo puede apreciar los efectos que producen los hábitos perjudiciales como el tabaquismo en la cavidad bucal, lo que sitúa en primera línea aun cuando los efectos orgánicos son reversibles, por eso es importante el diagnóstico de dichas patologías, contando con los conocimientos para saber actuar frente a estas situaciones.

It is considered as the risk factor that most influences the appearance of the main causes of morbidity and mortality from chronic non-communicable diseases such as respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, different types of cáncer and its inconvenience is not only for the smoker but for the entire world that is exposed to the inhalation of smoke. Which leads to the need to deepen and carry out research on this very frequent problem in individuals, taking into consideration as Objetive: Describe the different diseases that occur in the oral cavity due to the constant use of smoking. The methodology to be used was descriptive, not cross-sectional experimental, thourgh bibliographic reviews based on analysis and observation of articles on the subject. Taking as results that excessive tobacco consumption affects the oral cavity in its entirety and that is where it brings effects such as halitosis, extrinsic stains on the teeth, oral, cancers, periodontal diseases and many more pathologies. Concluding that the stomatologist can appreciate the effects produced by harmful habits such as smoking in the oral cavity, which places it in the first line even when the organic effects are reversible, that is why the diagnosis of the pathologies is important havind the knowledge to know how to act in these situations
