Perfil epidemiológico de prematuridad en recién nacidos de madres preeclámpticas con tratamiento durante el embarazo

Resumen
OBJETIVO: Establecer el perfil epidemiológico de prematuridad en recién nacidos de madres preeclámpticas en el Hospital Gineco-obstétrico pediátrico Universitario de Guayaquil en el periodo de enero del 2018 hasta agosto del 2020. METODOLOGÍA: El presente estudio es descriptivo, cuantitativo, no experimental de corte transversal. La población estudiada fueron los recién nacidos prematuros de madres con diagnóstico de preeclampsia entre el año 2018 y 2020. RESULTADOS: Del análisis de datos se obtuvo que del total de recién nacidos prematuros nacidos en el periodo 2018-2020, el 29,44% de los recién nacidos presentaron prematuridad debido a diagnostico de preeclampsia de la madre durante el embarazo, el 51,89% tenían controles insuficientes, 59,12 de los recién nacidos eran femeninos y el 58,18% presentaron complicaciones neonatales como el síndrome de dificultad respiratoria del recién nacido. CONCLUSIONES: Durante la investigación, se podría asociar la importancia de los controles prenatales y el diagnóstico oportuno de enfermedades desarrolladas durante el embarazo como la preeclampsia, posibles situaciones que podrían prevenirse si hay un seguimiento de esta enfermedad antes del nacimiento.
OBJECTIVE: To establish the epidemiological profile of prematurity in newborns of pre-existing mothers at the University Gynaecological-Obstetric Hospital of Guayaquil in the period from January 2018 to August 2020. METHODOLOGY: The present study is descriptive, quantitative, nonexperimental cross-sectional. The population studied were premature newborns of mothers diagnosed with preeclampsia between 2018 and 2020. RESULTS: Data analysis showed that of the total number of premature newborns born in the period 2018-2020, 29.44% of newborns had prematurity due to the diagnosis of pre-eclampsia of the mother during pregnancy, 51.89% had insufficient controls, 59.12 of the newborns were female and 58.18% had neonatal complications such as respiratory distress syndrome of the newborn. CONCLUSIONS: During the investigation, the importance of prenatal checks and the timely diagnosis of diseases developed during pregnancy such as preeclampsia could be associated, possible situations that could be prevented if there is a follow-up of this disease before birth.
