Efectos de la Imposición de salvaguardias en el sector automotriz ecuatoriano período 2015-2017

Resumen
A inicios del año 2015 el gobierno ecuatoriano tomó la decisión de implementar medidas de restricción al comercio internacional; esto como parte de un Plan en el ámbito económico con el fin de lograr la estabilización de la Balanza de Pagos; las medidas adoptadas fueron la imposición de salvaguardias y cuotas de importación. En los últimos treinta años el Sector automotriz ecuatoriano ha ocupado un importante sitial dentro de la economía ecuatoriana; este estudio se ha querido centrar específicamente en este Sector para entender cómo está compuesta su estructura de negocio: producción; venta y exportación de vehículos; con el objetivo de entender cuáles fueron los efectos ocasionados por las medidas de Salvaguardias dentro del Sector Automotriz durante los años 2015 al 2017. El diseño de este trabajo de investigación tiene un enfoque mixto y es de tipo documental descriptivo; en donde se identificaron las principales incidencias que tuvieron las medidas en este Sector; el cual en general experimenta un decrecimiento en relación a años anteriores; esto medido en términos de reducción de unidades vendidas; producidas a nivel nacional y exportadas.
At the beginning of 2015, the Ecuadorian government made the decision to implement restriction measures on international trade, this as part of a Plan in the economic sphere in order to achieve the stabilization of de Balance of Payments; the measures adopted were the imposition of safeguards and import quotas. In the last thirty years; the Ecuadorian automotive sector has occupied an important place within the Ecuadorian economy, this study has aimed to focus specifically on this Sector to understand how it business structure is composed; production; sale and export oh vehicles, in order to understand what were the effect caused by the Safeguards measures within the Automotive Sector during the years 2015 to 2017. The design of this research work has a mixed approach and is descriptive documentary type; were the main incidents of the measures in this sector were identified, Which in general experiences a decrease in relation to previous years; this measured in terms of reduction of units sold; produced domestically and exported.
