La presente investigación tuvo la finalidad de identificar la oferta y potencialidades de la cadena agroindustrial de la miel de abeja en la provincia del Guayas; orientado al fortalecimiento de la apicultura en la provincia de estudio. Como premisa de la investigación se estableció que con simetría de información e iniciativas gubernamentales, para potencializar la apicultura, mejoraría este sector que ha sido altamente ignorado por los gobiernos de turno. La metodología empleada es de orden mixto, con diseños investigativos documentales y exploratorio. Por último, es de menester resaltar que los resultados obtenidos demuestran que existen grandes oportunidades económicas en el mercado de miel de abeja en la provincia; debido a que, existe una demanda insatisfecha de miel de abeja y aquello debe ser solucionado, mejorando la productividad de la apicultura en la provincia del Guayas. Contribuyendo así, a mejorar las condiciones de vida de los apicultores con un enfoque de desarrollo endógeno y beneficiando a los demandantes con un producto de calidad, sin adulteraciones.
The purpose of this research was to identify the supply and potential of the agro-industrial chain of honey in the province of Guayas; aimed at strengthening beekeeping in the province of study. As a premise of the research, it was established that with symmetry of information and government initiatives, to potentiate beekeeping, this sector would improve, which has been highly ignored by the governments of the day. The methodology used is of mixed order, with documentary and exploratory investigative designs. Finally, it should be noted that the results obtained show that there are great economic opportunities in the honey market in the province; Due to the fact that there is an unsatisfied demand for honey and that must be solved, improving the productivity of beekeeping in the province of Guayas.
